Delicious Licorice Caramel Recipe

2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
2 squares butter
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. licorice flavoring
1/2 tsp. black food coloring
Combine first 4 ingredients and cook until soft ball, 240 degrees,  
stirring all the time.  Pour into an 8x8-inch buttered pan and follow  
same directions for cutting caramels.
