• Our upcoming Relief Society Activity is going to be so great!

We are having a "Secret Garden" where we will learn some great "secrets" about each other.  We would like you to share a secret or short story about one of your ancestors. It can be as simple as, my great grandfather migrated from Scottland to as crazy as, my ansestor was tried and hung as a witch. 

It will be fun to hear and try to guess who's story belongs to who!

You can get us your story by: writing it on the pink paper's handed out at Church, email it to willowwoodwardrs@yahoo.com, or simply write it down on a piece of paper and give it to a member of the Relief Society Presidency.  *You can get the presidency's info on the "contact us" tab on the right side of the blog.

March 2013 Calendar

Doctrine & Covenants 68:6

"Wherefore, be of good cheer, and do not fear,

for I the Lord am with you,
and will stand by you:
and ye shall bear record of me, even Jesus Christ,
that I am the Son of the living God,
that I was, that I am,
and that I am to come.

This year we are going to create a book of "JOY" taken from thoughts of joy from all of you! 

We will be compiling it throughout the year, completing it for each of 
you to have for Christmas!
This will be such an awesome book of fun, love, inspiration and spirit for each of us to have. We can hardly wait till Christmas!!

We would like for each of you to write your thoughts on what brings you joy, keeping a scripture in mind that reminds you, or makes you think of it to tag with it. You can email it to: willowwoodwardrs@yahoo.com, write it in the comments spot at the end of this post, or simply write it down on paper and pass it on to a member of the Relief Society Presidency.

Brigham City Temple Dedication

We were blessed yesterday to be able to be part of the Dedication of a new 

Beautiful Temple in Brigham City.

As part of the dedication, 

they place the mortar around the corner stone.

The month-long open house ending last week

drew more than 400,00 visitors.

The beautiful front doors invite us to enter and receive peace 

from the busy World outside.

This is the 14th temple in the state of Utah 

and the 139th in the world.

Gary Ernest Smith paints the murals for the walls 

in the endowment room.

The Celestial Room is so beautiful!

The picture doesn't do it justice. 

There is so much fine detail.

An interesting thing they did to connect with 

Brigham City's heritage is use the peach blossom 

throughout the Temple decor, such as on this window. It's even woven in the pattern of the fabric on the furniture.

The Baptismal font is Beautiful!

The Brides Room is a definite favorite!

We are so extremely blessed to have so many Temples right around us!

Let us all make it a priority to set aside our regular duties often and take advantage of the blessings and peace we will receive in the                    House of the Lord. 

*Place a seed in your children's hearts!

Take your children's picture at the Temple 

and put it in their room.

Display pictures of the Temple in your home.

If you were married in the Temple, display your wedding picture by the Temple for your children to see.

If you have not received your endowments or have yet to be sealed, set a date to be Temple ready and go receive those sacred blessing with which you are promised. Your life will be blessed in ways you would not even expect!

We have two exciting things coming up this Month!!

One.......

Water Aerobics Group    The Water Aerobics Interest Group will be starting on Thursday, July 12th at 8pm. It will be held at the Salmon's pool and will be taught by Lugia B. who is a certified water aerobics teacher.  We are sooooo excited for this fun form of exercise because lets face it....What's better on a hot summer night than a fun bounce in the pool while getting in shape with great friends!! If you didn't sign up no worries, come and join us anyway!!

Two.......

Yeah!!!! It's here!

ladies encampment! 

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!!

We hope everyone can come to Terry's cabin on July 27th-28th. We will have tons of fun for sure! There will be much of talking, laughing, learning and being uplifted. We will have a great time getting to know each other and bonding! You will for sure come away with a bunch of new found friendships.

We are so happy to have Joan M. home from her mission last month and back with us in Relief Society! 

Sure sounds like it was a fantastic and rewarding experience.

Interest Group Survey:

Here are those who were interested in the different groups. Most of these groups are not 'Relief Society' groups but simple neighborhood interest groups. (The ones headed up by the Relief Society are in Red.) We thought we would provide a format for you to find each other. 

Please call Sydney if you would be willing to be the one to head up one or more of the groups you were interested in and we can help you get your group started. 

An *shows who has stated they would be willing to be the chair person. We will also include information and times that are set for groups on the blog even though they are separate from Relief Society. 

For the exercise related groups, you could always call one or more people on the list and go to it!!  

If at anytime you would like your name added to a group and the group chair informed just email or call Sydney @597-0431 and of course...you don't need to be on the list to join in and participate! 

If it has an * in front of it, you would need to contact the chair person to get details before showing up.
