Pinterest ~ December 2014

Thanks to Tenneal for Hosting
December's Pinterest Group.

First we worked on a cute Christmas Block Project.
After lightly sanding the edges,
we painted them in fun colors.

Once they were dry we applied vinyl letters,
a snow flake and then lightly sanded
the edges again.
We ended up with this fun stacked sign.

The other project we worked on were some
really classy Christmas Pillows.

Tenneal had a light box which made this project
an easy peasy one!
We just put the printed out word design on the light box,
laid our fabric over it and traced it with a
black sharpie pen.

A quick run through the sewing machine,
add some stuffing,
sew the opening shut and walla!!
Beautiful Pillows that also remind you of the reverence of that sacred night!

Look how great they look on Tenneal's couch!

As always, the projects are fun
and the company is better!!

*NOTE:  For January's Pinterest we will not be doing a new project, rather we will have those who would like
bring a recipe made from Pinterest to share.
You can also bring any unfinished project you have sitting around at home to work on while we eat and visit.

We thought we could just use a month to relax
and enjoy each other.

If you have questions you can call Sydney @801-597-0431

Pinterest ~ November 2014

This was a really fun project!!

For Pinterest in November we made
Christ Centered Advent Boards.

The little wooden squares with pictures lead you through Christ's life and each has a scripture coordinating with it on the back.

As usual, some turn out different
as each person puts their own twist to theirs.

Camille did her's with a light blue background so she could also use it at Easter Time.

We also printed out a whole list of activities for the month to put in a jar or box to pull out and do one each day.

We decided these are
meaningful enough
to become family heirlooms.

Pinterest ~ March, April, May

Spring Time Pinterest Group Projects
were AWESOME!!!

For March Shannon P. hosted.
She had so many cute papers to choose from to make a spring time banner.

We folded the paper accordion style
to make the centers.

Here is the darling finished project!

We also made fun twine carrots.

So adorable don't you think!

In March Jenny N. was the host.
We made colored mason jars.
You could use them for a million different things!

So easy and fun to decorate with!

Of course with Easter on it's way we made some cool Paper Easter Eggs.

May's Pinterest was held at Sydney G's house.

We went Patriotic for the upcoming Fourth of July.

We were fortunate that Shannon P's parents
just decided to tear down their old fence so
Shannon scored the old wood for us to make
Patriotic Flag's with!

We taped off a chevron pattern for
painting the stripes.

Because the wood just happened to be red, if you wanted the Americana look you could just leave the fence wood showing through.
Look how great Heidi's turned out!!

For those who wanted a newer look some
fresh paint did the trick.

We spray painted burlap pillows to add to the Fourth's decor.

The last project was a garden tic~tac~toe game.

We painted rocks for the playing pieces.

Then we used already hooked together faux stones
to play the game on.

Stick them in the Garden and Wala!!!
Fun for the kids!

Pinterest Group is such a great time
to visit and create!

Join us next September when we start up again, the
Second Thursday of each month.
Contact Sydney @801-597-0431 if you want to join.

December was held at Kim E.'s house.
Thanks a million Kim!

In December we Made these totally adorable yarn snowmen!!
Also a fun wooden birthday calendar wall hanging that you could rotate upcoming birthdays on the pegs making it so you could always know who's birthday is coming up!
*(Sorry I don't have a photo of that.)

January brought about some great
Valentine's projects.
Thank you to Melanie P. for hosting!

Look how fun the banner turned out!
Talk about make your house look fun for the
Love Month!!!

The pillow and wreath turned out simply awesome!

Jeanine M. hosted for the Month of February.
Thanks Jeanine for a really organized, fun morning of crafting and visiting!

We made some fun spring jars to decorate with.
You can fill them with flowers, candies, utensils, makeup brushes, etc.....
.... or just set them out looking cute on their own!

This was another project necessitating some spray paint action in the garage. We were painting jar lids with soap pumps to make some fun new soap dispensers.

Look how great they turned out.
Jeanine also food colored a larger mason jar to go with her soap dispenser.
She showed us how simple it was to do!
We were all amazed. It looks so cool!! Like a vintage aged mason jar.

We also made simple children's card holders,
a "helping tiny hands tool" for playing Old Maid, Uno and such!

*Such a creative way to hold the clips while drying don't you think!

They have been a real hit with the kids!!!

If you are thinking,
"That looks fun! I would love to do that!"
