Bountiful Baskets Food Co-op

Provident Living Tip:
Greeting Sisters!  Have you ever heard of Bountiful Baskets?!

Bountiful Baskets is a great program called a Co-op.  That means that they offer great discounts on food for groups of people purchasing together! They are non-profit and have great fresh local produce for less!

Here is how it works!

If you would like a laundry size basket full of fresh fruit and veggies, you visit their website and sign up on Mondays from noon until Tuesday night. Then you will print off your receipt and bring it to the assigned pickup location on Saturday.

You will take along your own container to bring the food home in.  This basket will be half locally grown fruits and half locally grown vegetables.  Then on Saturday you arrive for pickup and enjoy! It's an awesome way to save money on produce!

Here is what we got last week!

This is a $15 dollar basket of food and is called the conventional basket.  A $25 dollar organic basket of food is also available.

They also have other items available. Check it out.

If you can't use a whole basket full your self, partner up with someone and share.
(If you want to share and don't have someone to do it with, leave a note on the 'special thoughts' at the bottom of the post and we can help pair you up.)

You can choose your pickup location and it is a great program to help a lot of great people!

We couldn't supply all the information here so if you have questions visit their FAQ page HERE.  If you would like to sign up and are new click HERE.  To order a basket of food click HERE

Keep in mind you will not actually be able to order a basket until it opens Monday at noon.  And it closes every week Tuesday nights or sooner if the orders fill up quick.  If you don't get the chance to participate this week or aren't able to do it one week you can do it another week.  You only pay for the weeks you sign up!

By visiting the links above on their website you should be able to learn all the information you need to buy a basket if you are interested.

This is a great opportunity to buy fresh produce for less!
